There were rumors last year that "New Romantics" would become a single for 1989, but were put to rest by Taylor herself. Well the rumors are back and the fire's fuel began with DJ Java Joel Murphy. The DJ tweeted the news and then continued with insurance of his claim after some fans were questioning his validity. The rumor has been confirmed by Taylor.Allaccess.com is showing the song to have an impact date of February 23, 2016. What do you think?Is this a rumor or fact? Do want NR to be a single? |

Out of the woods is too recent. Maybe the next single will be anounced in april.
I totally love "New Romantics" and it's a great pick from the D.L.X. edition. Is less risky than "Wonderland".

I think this "leak" of information forced Taylor to anounce early the new single. New Romantics could be in the standard edition of the album. For me is so good.  |

I love it, but I think they should wait with the official release a bit longer. To me it feels like OOTW just had its premiere on New Years Eve, already releasing a video would be too soon, I hope she waits a bit longer. On the other hand I want it to be a video full of those live clips like for Fearless, Sparks Fly and Red. But since Apple has those exclusive rights for the 1989 concert film and the filming rights it probably won't happen  |

It's possible that a live-video montage music video is part of her deal with Apple. If Apple did all the filming and postproduction for 1989 World Tour Live, maybe they'll do the postproduction for a music video too.
