#1These are the RULES of this forum. All members, including staff, must abide by these rules. Failure to follow the following rules will result in consequences.
GENERAL RULES
- Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.
- Remain on topic. Threads are created for discussion of a declared topic; please do not drift from this discussion. If members would like to discuss something off-topic, they may do so in another thread dedication to that topic or via private messaging.
- Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning. Members should agree to disagree and should refrain from posting nasty or bashing comments. Keep this forum civilized; keep this a warm, inviting environment.
- Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the staff. Please use the “post report” feature to report posts. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who constantly “act” as moderators may be warned.
- Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
- Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed.
- As this is an English speaking community, members are asked only to post in English. Posting in non-English languages will be forbidden unless staff has granted a particular thread permission for usage of other languages.
- Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of smilies, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
- Do not post spam on this forum site. Spamming will not be permitted or tolerated under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, solicitation etc. Recruiting members for your own projects (moderators, designers, professional MOD work, etc.) is not permitted and is also considered spam. This forum creates an atmosphere for members to communicate to one another; there is no need for nonsense text or writing. Spam will result in a warning given to the offender and the post will be removed.
- Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new thread. Keep thread titles short; do not include unnecessary words. Do not use all caps or all lowercase in a thread name or subject. When creating the subject line for a new thread, follow proper titling form (Capitalize each word except for prepositions). Only use punctuation where necessary in a thread title (e.g. ! ? "" :). An example of a good title: "Taylor Swift Posts a Photo of Her Cat."
- Do not bump threads. Posting in a thread only to bring it back to the front page of the forum is not allowed, a thread should only be on the front page of a forum if there is active discussion taking place. Bumping will be executed by staff when needed.
- Do not post in old threads unless you have something worth contributing to the thread. Only post in an old thread if the post promotes further discussion.
- Do not behave maliciously. Do not behave in a manner that can cause distress, harm or inconvenience to other members, staff or the forum itself. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination, bullying, offensive material, using multiple forum accounts, breaching others privacy and accessing others accounts without permission. Members will be banned in cases of malicious behavior.
- Do not post links to illegal downloads. Taylor Swift Boards does support violation of United States or International laws. Be mindful of the law.
- Do not create multiple accounts. If multiple accounts are found, the primary account will be given a warning and all other accounts will be terminated. Creation of multiple accounts to harass members, spam ideas, influence poll votes, or ignore a ban on a primary account is prohibited. Multiple accounts created for any reason is prohibited and will be terminated.
- Staff members reserve the right to edit, remove, or moderate any post. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.
