HOW TO REPORT A POST • Click the options button next to the post. | • Type in your reasoning for reporting the post and any other additional information. Your description is limited to 256 characters. | • You will immediately receive a confirmation notice that the report has been made successfully. |
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A REPORT • After a post is reported, a staff member will be notified. | • Staff members will decide the course of action. |
WHAT IF MY POST WAS REPORTED When a report is made, staff members will review the report and decide how to react. There are several actions that can be taken. | | • Staff may delete the reported post, delete the entire thread containing the post, or lock the thread containing the post. | • The reported members may be issued a warning, may have their account disabled, or may receive a ban. The warning policy is explained here. | • Staff may send a PM to the reported member to explain any action that has been taken. | • It may also be decided by staff to take no action against the report at all. |
Important Notes • When a post is reported, the authoring member of the reported post will not be notified. They will be unaware of their post being reported. | • The reporting member will not be notified of the end result. | • The reported member may or may not be notified of the end result. |
