---- Signatures & Avatars ----
Why is part of my signature hidden?
Signatures are limited to a height of 300 pixels. Images within signatures are limited to a height of 280 pixels. Any content placed inside signatures that have a combined height of more than 300 pixels, the excess content will be hidden. If you need specific help with your signature, create a thread in the Help board and someone will assist you.
Why is my signature not showing under my post?
If your post is the first post in a thread, then your signature will not show under your post. This is to keep the attention toward the information within the first post of a thread. Your signature will also not appear in message conversations or in the Blogs board, again to keep focus on the content within the messages and blog posts. Under any other circumstance your signature should appear. If it does not, make a thread in the Help for assistance.
Why can I not use the avatar I designed via the Avatar Maker?
Although the Avatar Maker is displayed in the Avatar Editor Window and labeled as the "Default Avatar", it has been disabled on this forum. You may open the Avatar Maker and design an avatar; however, you cannot use it as your avatar. The default avatar for his forum is an image that has either been uploaded or linked. If no avatar is used, a silhouette will be shown in it's place. It is recommended that you upload or link an image as your avatar.
Why has my avatar been resized?
On this forum, you have three options for your avatar: (1) no image (silhouette will be shown in this case), (2) an uploaded image, or (3) a linked image. Uploaded images are automatically resized to 150px by 150px, which is the ProBoards standard, and will displayed as a square image. Linked images will be resized to fit within 150px by 150px, but the larger dimension of the image (length or width) will be resized to 150 pixels and the the smaller dimension will be resized proportionally. Linked images, therefore are not displayed as square images unless their original dimensions were already square.
Why do some members have larger avatars?
Staff members have been granted the privilege of having avatars with a larger height of 200 pixels as a reward for their generous, volunteered work done to make this forum run smoothly.
---- Labels ----
What are the labels and where can I use them?
Labels are words or short phrases used to organize and categorize the site. You can create your own labels for Private Messages (PMs) that only you will see. The labels used within the forum are created by staff; some of these labels can only be used by staff while others can be, and should be used by everyone.
Labels within the Taylor Swift Media board
These labels are used to distinguish different types of media. If your thread contains more than one type of media, then either don't use a label or use the one that fits best. The labels in this board can be used by everyone and they are: PHOTO, AUDIO, and VIDEO.
Labels within the Site News & Updates board
These labels are used to categorize the threads in this board by what the thread contains. These labels are: ANNOUNCEMENT, SITE UPDATE, and SUGGESTION. Only the Suggestion label may be used by all members. The Announcement and Site Update labels are for staff purposes only.
---- Posting ----
Can guests post?
No. Guests cannot post on this forum. Posting is only allowed for registered members only.
Why can't I post?
There are several reasons why a member may not be able to post. If a thread shows this icon: then that means the thread has been locked by Staff to disable posting from members for that specific thread. Also, some boards do not allow posting by regular members. The Blogs board only allows posting by Staff and Bloggers.
Why can't I create a thread?
Some boards have disabled thread creating for members, these boards include: Lyrics, Site News & Updates, Blogs, and MOTM. These particular boards are mostly for informative purposes only, thus regular members may only reply to threads, but not create them.
Why can't I create a poll?
Polls can only be created by the threadstarter. If you are not the threadstarter, then you cannot create a poll. Polls have also been disabled for members in certain boards. If the "Add Poll" is missing from the post editor, then you are in a board in which polls have been disabled.
Can I edit my poll?
Polls are not editable by the threadstarter. Staff do not have the power to edit polls either; so if your poll needs edited, you must ask a Staff member to delete the poll so that you cannot create a new one.
